DIOPT Diseases and Traits (DIOPT-DIST) is a spin-off of our DIOPT tool for identification of orthlogs. DIOPT-DIST make one more connection to link from model species to human genome to disease-associated genes.
Search with a disease and generate an output list of corresponding yeast, worm, zebrafish, mouse or fly orthologs of the disease-associated human genes. Or, search with a yeast, worm, zebrafish, mouse or fly gene(s) and get a list of human gene orthologs of your input that have been associated through genetic study or GWAS with diseases or traits.
Go to DIOPT-DIST.
Our sources for disease-gene links include the NCBI Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM) resource and the NHGRI archive of genome-wide association study (GWAS) data.
